The State of Tech in South Central PA
Connecting the IT industry with workforce is the goal of the South Central Pennsylvania NextGen Information Technology Industry Partnership, a group formed in 2018 to help address workforce development in the sector at the local and regional level. Co-convened by SCPaWorks, the group is guided by input of a tech employer steering committee.
The program comes with challenges: building a robust tech workforce is a complex and quickly-evolving subject as skills, credentialing and employer needs manuever to align with one another. Reporting timely labor market data for job seekers and planners is an essential component of TechConnect's future. The new State of Tech in South Central PA dashboard accomplishes this handily, including automated monthly updates!
