The eImpact Process

How We Deliver Reports, Fast

We love helping clients reach their advocacy and communications goals using economic impact reports. We know you're strapped for time and that's why we delight in providing an easy button for you to get the job done. Data collection is tedious. Creating your narrative around the data requires expertise in building credible economic arguments, a skillset not often found within association staff. We also know that getting the message out – through as many channels as possible – is mission critical.

So, how does this all work?

Our 3 Step Process

1. Establish Goals & Outcomes

It all starts with your goals. What do you need your economic impact report to accomplish? For some, it’s responding to a specific issue in policy or regulations. In other cases it is the need to provide economic data as a resource for your members and the media. We work with you to understand your needs, which drive the design of the economic report.

2. Create First Draft

Once the objectives of the report are set we get to work. The eImpact team drives the first iteration of the report forward, based on your goals established in Step 1. We are known for having a fast turn-around time with exceptional quality, which our technology plus team of economic experts makes possible. In about a week we reconvene with you for feedback on the first draft. You circulate it amongst the stakeholders you need to (made easy by the online format with sharing link) and collect input.

3. Final Report & Training

A week after we get your input on the report, we come back with a final version, ready for primetime. With our online report portal, we make it easy to embed the report on your website. For this, we train you on our built-in report sharing tools and support your team along the way. Of course there is also a print button for a hardcopy or PDF version :)

This is a great example of an economic impact report that was completed in under 2 weeks:

But can't I do all this with my trusty economic data consultant?

Sure, but here's a few things to keep in mind:

  1. A consultant is going to collect and analyze data by hand. eImpact is optimized and designed for dynamic economic reporting. The data in eImpact are continuously collected and updated. Generating reports, charts, and maps with these data is fully automated.

  2. Static, on-the-shelf reports are a thing of the past. They don’t give you the influence you need and people do not tend to read them.

  3. The way we consume information has changed. Interactive and dynamic charts and maps we can explore are how we now absorb information. Interactivity is now expected and leads to more engagement.

  4. On-the-shelf reports get stale. eImpact automatically keeps the data current over time. Circumstances and situations change and you need to respond. With eImpact you can easily edit your report on your own. No hourly fee required.
